Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to Swanndri and we want you to understand what information we capture and how we make use of that information.

We will update this policy from time to time and communicate this by posting the updated policy on our website. Any changes will apply from the date such a policy is posted.

Collection

We may collect personal information about you:

  1. When you register for an online account.
  2. When you contact us to enquire about this site or any of our products or services.
  3. Through your use of this site and the services and functionality offered through it.
  4. When you provide your mobile phone number and consent to receive SMS marketing messages from us (currently available to customers with an Australian mobile number - see "SMS Communications" below).

We may also collect additional non-personal information including:

  • the date and time you access our site
  • the type of device, operating system and which web browser you use
  • the screen resolution of your device
  • what pages you have accesses and what you clicked on
  • the internet address from which you accessed our site (IP address)
  • the search terms you used to find content on our website
  • what website referred you to our site.
  • your geographic location.

Use

We will only use personal information about you for the following reasons:

  1. To create an online account for you.
  2. To record and process your orders.
  3. To add to our database so we may inform you of specials, promotions, offers and events via email, SMS or post, where you have consented to receive these.
  4. To improve the products and services we offer through this site.
  5. To respond to your queries.
  6. To analyse usage of the website, measure the effectiveness of advertising and assist us in effectively targeting advertisements (see Cookies/Advertising below).
  7. Any other reasons which we may notify at the time the information is collected (for example competitions).

SMS Communications (Australia)

If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in, we may send you marketing text messages (SMS) about Swanndri products, promotions, offers and events. This SMS program is currently available only to customers with an Australian mobile number. We plan to expand SMS messaging to other markets in the future, and we will update this policy before doing so.

By opting in to receive SMS marketing, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing text messages from Swanndri at the mobile number provided. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Consent to receive SMS marketing is not a condition of any purchase.

To send and manage these messages, we use a third-party SMS and email marketing platform, Klaviyo, and our ecommerce platform, Shopify. Your mobile number and related opt-in/consent status are shared with these providers solely to deliver our messaging services to you. We will not share your SMS opt-in or consent status with any other third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with that messaging service. We may share this information with vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages (such as platform providers and telecommunications carriers).

You can opt out of SMS marketing at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us, or by contacting us using the details in the "Access and Correction" section below. For help, reply HELP or contact us directly. Opting out of SMS marketing will not affect your ability to receive emails or other communications from us, unless you separately opt out of those.

Disclosure

We may share your personal information:

  1. To our group companies or service providers (e.g. in order to store the information, or to send you marketing emails or SMS — see "SMS Communications" above).
  2. Where the disclosure is in connection with one of the purposes for which the information was collected (e.g. to courier companies to enable deliveries).
  3. Where we are required or authorised by law to make disclosure.

Except as provided above, we will not intentionally share your personal information with any other third parties.

Security

We will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that the personal information is securely protected against unauthorised access, loss and other misuse.

Access and Correction

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that personal information held by us is accurate and up-to-date. You are entitled to obtain from us confirmation as to whether or not we hold personal information about you and you are entitled to reasonable access to this information. You may also request:

  1. That we correct this information if it is inaccurate; and
  2. That your details do not appear on our database.

Cookies/Advertising

A cookie is a small piece of information generated by a web site and stored on your computer. The Swanndri website uses cookies to help us to deliver the best possible user-experience; this includes the use of tools such as Google Analytics.

Swanndri may use advertising services including Google Display Advertising. We also sometimes use Google Analytics cookies for remarketing (displaying Swanndri ads on other websites you visit based upon your interactions with the Swanndri website). No personally identifiable data is collected for this advertising and Google provides options for controlling the types of ads you see and tools to prevent the use of data by Google Analytics.
